1. General
1.1 You must be over 18 years old, or have reached the age of 15 and be able to provide authorisation from a guardian, in order to purchase and use our products.
1.2 The subscription is personal and cannot be transferred to others.
1.3 You only have a right of withdrawal for 24 hours from the time of purchase, and only if you have not used a city bike. You accept that any additional purchases, accepted in the Oslo Bysykkel app, are binding and cannot be cancelled. Use beyond the included rental period is charged automatically and cannot be cancelled. For more information, see the Act of 20 June 2014 relating to the duty to provide information and the right of withdrawal in connection with distance selling and sales outside fixed business premises, the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, Chapter 6, Section 22, letter m (in Norwegian).
1.4 Information about the transaction is stored for 5 years in accordance with the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act. This applies regardless of whether you have deleted your account.
1.5 Products may not be resold unless there is a separate written agreement permitting this.
1.6 If resale of products is discovered, this will be treated as a breach of the terms. The relevant product will then be terminated by Bauer without notice or refund. In addition, Bauer reserves the right to exclude you from Bauer’s services in the future.
1.7 Bauer reserves the right to charge your payment card/account directly when you purchase a product, exceed the included rental period, or have an active recurring product, as well as for compensation claims pursuant to the Terms of Use, section 5.3. Before a charge is made, you will receive an email with information about the claim and the basis for the charge.
Monthly subscriptions are renewed automatically at the price applicable at any given time. If you wish to turn off automatic renewal, this can be done in your profile at oslobysykkel.no.
If payment cannot be completed due to insufficient funds, an incorrect card number, a change of payment card or payment method without notice, or similar circumstances, Bauer reserves the right to charge you automatically once this information has been updated.
1.8 You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide, and you give Bauer permission to charge it for purchases and any fees you have incurred in connection with your use of the service.
1.9 Payments to us are made through a third-party payment service provider. We are not responsible for the payment process, or for any costs associated with such third parties.
1.10 To dispute any fees or charges made by Bauer, you must contact us within 90 days after the charge was made, with relevant information regarding the matter.
2. Purchase and receipt of gift cards
2.1 Gift cards may be purchased via our websites, regardless of whether the purchaser is an active user of Oslo Bysykkel. The purchaser has no right of withdrawal and consents to this agreement being fulfilled by both parties, so that the rules on the right of withdrawal for distance selling of financial services do not apply. For more information, see the Act relating to the duty to provide information and the right of withdrawal in connection with distance selling and sales outside fixed business premises, the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, Chapter 1, Section 2.
2.2 The recipient must be 18 years old, or over 15 years old with authorisation from a guardian, in order to use a city bike. Electric bikes may only be used by persons who have reached the age of 18. No exceptions to the age requirement are granted on the basis of authorisation from a guardian.
2.3 Gift cards may only be used during the current year, or during the period specified by the product.
2.4 The purchaser receives the gift card at the email address provided after payment has been made. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to send or give the gift card to the recipient.
2.5 The recipient must redeem the code themselves and, if they are not already a user, register in the app or at https://oslobysykkel.no/los-inn-gavekort using a phone number and a valid payment card/payment method.
2.6 The voucher code cannot be exchanged for cash.
2.7 Otherwise, the points under section 1 of these terms apply.
3. Changes
These terms were last updated on 02.07.2026. Bauer reserves the right to amend and update these terms as needed, and by using Oslo Bysykkel you agree to be bound by the terms applicable at any given time. We recommend that you regularly read through and familiarise yourself with our terms for the service.
